Ok what the hell is Voip.? Well let me say some geek came up with the
word "voice-over-internet-protocol",just to confuse us
a little more.
Basically it is a technological method whith which anyone whome is set up with can make telephone cals via Broadband,Internet,Computer. This is pretty much the the same way you would use your home phone, once briefly
orientated with.
Actually those of us whome have used MSN or Yahoo messengers to talk with headsets will already know basically about the way Voip works,as it is similar but more crystal clear with less distortion or break up and talking over each other in delay. The best part of it is it is exactly the same as a home phone,if not better.
Therefore what is so great about Voip.? I will list some of them as such.
1.Clear as crystal calling.
2.very Cheap phone calls.
3.At most times free, for example computer to computer.
4.Untimed phone calls,in general to local, and within country.
5.Rock bottom international calls.
6.very familiar home phone style set up,hands free as well, depending on products selected.
7.Ability to buy time and phone freinds and family fixed lines, for homes not set up for Voip.
8.Number for life.
9.No telephone company contracts.
10.Buy call time as you need it to local fixed or overseas.
11.No line rental.
12.Best of all Voip is portable if moving. The benefits of a home phone, without the company expenses and problems attached to it.
Indeed with Voip gone are the days of ringing your telephone company
to disconnect, then moving to go through the whole procedure of re-connecting again. Most times with slow service,at times not even the same number.
Moving?,great just unplug your whole Voip set up via your Dsl,Cable, broadband, and set it up yourself easily in your new home, premises.Without the problems of missing a beat, better still not waiting for shocking slow service by some big phone company.
More Voip features,It gets better.Going on travels or long holidays.?
Great just take the laptop with you, hook it up into the hotels room socket,
and off you go.Your freinds wont even realise you are gone when you call them,if you choose not to tell.
This is the beauty of Voip,a number for life that travels with you.
Now you know the basics on Voip, take your time to go within this site you are on to learn all you can about Voip.I suggest to bookmark this site.
The reason is Voip is not going away. The take up of Voip from all spectrums of society is on the increase, due to the reasons listed above and throughout this site.Thank you.

VoIP E911 Update: TUFONE Adds i-911 Safety Response Centers

New VoIP technology offered at LasVegas.Net
Las Vegas, NV May 11, 2005 Lasvegas.net now introduces a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) for your home or office.VoIP is the ability to convert voice or fax calls into data packets for transmission over the Internet or other IP-based networks. Unlike traditional phone calls, where the conversation is converted into electronic signals that traverse an elaborate network of switches, in a dedicated circuit that lasts the duration of a call. VoIP works by converting the conversation into packets of data that travel over the Internet or private networks, just like e-mails or Web pages, though voice packets get priority status. The packets get reassembled and converted to sound on the other end of the call.Voice over IP makes long distance calls cheaper by removing some of the access charges required for use of the public telephone network. A user's physical location also becomes irrelevant; Las Vegas lets people choose their area code and possess multiple area codes in different cities...

What Is VOIP and Why Does It Matter?
One of the latest services available online is called Voice Over IP, or VoIP. Its also sometimes called internet telephony or broadband phone service. VoIP lets users make phone calls using the Internet instead of the regular telephone network. With VoIP service, users can make calls using their computer or, by adding a special adaptor, using a regular phone. As VoIP services continue to improve, they're even being used by large companies to replace their traditional internal phone systems.
How do you use VoIP? First you need a broadband connection to the Internet. A cable or DSL connection will do just fine. Then you need a VoIP service provider. VoipProvidersList.com lists thousands of VoIP providers serving over 100 countries, and could be a good place to start. You may want to simply connect a headset to your computer, or you may choose to use a telephone handset with a USB connection to your computer.
You may even...

Choosing the Best Voip Solution for Small Business
In today's world,it seems that almost any topic is open for debate. While I was gathering facts for this article, I was quite surprised to find some of the issues I thought were settled are actually still being openly discussed.
One of the major problems that small business encounters involves telecommunication. They may encounter problems in calling long distance either through domestic or international schemes. Long distance calls, especially, can cost a small business quite an ample sum.
It will depend on what kind of small business you are involved in whether to install long distance scheme or not. Long distance can make your small business successful depending on how you are going to deal with it.
The most competitive in the market is the telecommunication market. In everyday of out living, the rate of the domestic long distance, international long distance and the local are falling. The best way to be successful in your small...
VoIP - Thee Emerging Technology
Changes in technology are opening doors and creating jobs that simply didn't exist a few years ago. VoIP is one of those areas, and this emerging technology has produced significant changes in the way people communicate. Understanding VoIP is rather difficult for many, but the concept is actually a fairly basic one.
VoIP is the acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol. Most commonly, the term is written as VoIP (note the small "o"), though there are many other terms that refer to this same process. Telephony is one of those terms, and Broadband telephony is another.
The idea of VoIP is too simply to create a network and then allow people to send all sorts of transmissions across that same network.
Consider what that can do to the costs of communicating in some situations.
For example, a large office of a half-century ago would likely have two major methods of communication. There'd be a telephone system that connected all the desks...

Florida Mortgage Rates ? Know Everything Upfront
Florida mortgage rates change every day, just as they change every day in every state. It is important when buying a home to understand how mortgage rates work and if and how you can lock-in your mortgage rates.
